With the new year underway, 2025 mortgage events are in full swing, too. Even with only one month of the new year behind us, two notable events have already passed: the New England Mortgage Expo in Connecticut and the Independent Mortgage Bankers Conference in Austin.
Don’t worry. Even if you missed those events, there are still plenty of ways to track industry trends and connect with other mortgage professionals.
Some of the upcoming events focus on specific verticals, like multifamily lenders or mortgage servicers. Others are open to a broader audience. Whether you choose one because it’s tailored to you or because it’s close by, these 2025 mortgage events offer lots of opportunity. You’ll be able to hear from industry thought leaders and network with your peers. You should come away better informed and better positioned to serve your borrower base.
Events geared toward mortgage professionals abound, so we’re just going to focus on the first half of the year here. Here are eight mortgage events you might want to put on your calendar in Q1 and Q2 2025.
Q1 2025 mortgage events
We’re already a third of the way through this quarter, but we’re by no means short on events. Four notable conferences are on the docket in February and March 2025:
#1: Servicing Solutions Conference and Expo
February 4–7, 2025 | Hyatt Regency Dallas, Dallas, TX
The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) hosts this event specifically for servicing professionals and providers. The event covers everything from the latest servicing strategies to regulatory updates that might affect you. It also will also highlight current data to help your team make informed decisions this year. And it will surface some practical solutions to help you navigate the path ahead.
#2: Commercial/Multifamily Finance Convention and Expo
February 9–12, 2025 | Manchester Grand Hyatt, San Diego, CA
Another MBA event, this one focuses on mortgage professionals interacting with the multifamily and commercial markets. It offers a blend of insights from industry experts and networking opportunities. Plus, February’s not a bad time of year to find yourself in sunny San Diego.
#3: Mid-Winter Housing Finance Conference
March 9-12, 2025 | Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch, Avon, CO
This conference comes to you from — you guessed it — the MBA team. They’re gathering senior executives like CEOs and presidents in the Colorado Rockies to discuss and, ideally, direct where the housing industry is headed.
You need to be an MBA member to participate in this event.
#4: NAMB Legislative & Regulatory Conference
March 31–April 2, 2025 | Washington Marriott Capital Hill, Washington, DC
Have you ever wished you could speak to your state’s elected representatives about the issues impacting your local mortgage market? Now, you can.
The National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB) offers this annual event. At it, you’ll hear from legislators and regulatory decision-makers. Then, you’ll get trained on how to lobby on current issues. The final day of the event gives you the opportunity to lobby with your state on Capitol Hill.
Q2 2025 Mortgage Events
The mortgage events in Q2 2025 span from coast to coast. Here are five that might be potentially worth adding to your calendar:
#5: State and Local Workshop
April 7–8, 2025 | Capital Hilton, Washington, DC
This workshop is aimed toward the mortgage professionals behind local and state mortgage associations. Because the event is tailored to mortgage associations, sessions are geared toward helping them better serve their members.
If you want to put what you learn into practice, stick around for the next event — it’s also held by the MBA at the same venue.
#6: National Advocacy Conference
April 8–9, 2025 | Capital Hilton, Washington, DC
The MBA’s answer to the NAMB Legislative & Regulatory Conference, the National Advocacy Conference presents the opportunity to make connections with the federally elected officials representing your state. This gives you the chance to meet any newly elected representatives and advocate for the issues that are important to your lending organization and the borrowers you serve
#7: Legal Issues and Regulatory Compliance Conference
May 14–17, 2025 | Hilton San Diego Bayfront, San Diego, CA
As its name suggests, this is the event for legal and compliance professionals. Hosted by the MBA, it gathers up experts and industry professionals to discuss the latest legal and regulatory requirements in the mortgage industry. If you want to get help identifying potential roadblocks and overcoming them, this is a great one to add to your calendar.
#7: Utah Mortgage Show
May 14, 2025 | Sheraton Park City, Park City, UT
While a lot of our Q2 mortgage events take place on the coast, we don’t want to leave the middle of the country out.
Utah’s biggest mortgage event, this show blends together speakers, exhibitors, and hands-on sessions with an optional Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) Renewal Course. That renewal course is offered for free to event attendees.
#8: Secondary and Capital Markets Conference & Expo
May 18-21, 2025 | Marriott Marquis New York, New York, NY
This event provides networking and learning opportunities for professionals working in the secondary and capital markets. Per the MBA, its sponsor, it’s the largest gathering of professionals in this real estate finance space. The event has sessions focusing on industry trends, applicable policies, and best practices.
It could be a busy year if you wanted. The question is: how do mortgage professionals balance their daily to-dos with learning and networking opportunities like these?
We don’t have all the answers, but we certainly have a way to help. Here at BankingBridge, we offer tools like automatically updating rate tables and automated rate alert emails. This way, you can keep potential borrowers informed, even if you step away from your desk to attend an event.
